Creative Inspiration with a Sketch featuring Extraordinary Life

And here's the project it inspired:

The Extraordinary Life Bundle coordinates with the Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite Collection, and it has many elements that will work for card designs as well as for scrapbooking, as this project shows.

The landscape card base was created from Basic White Cardstock measuring 11" x 4¼", scored at 5½". A rectangle of the dotted Pool Party pattern from the Beautiful Ordinary Life 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper measuring 5½" x 4¼" was adhered directly to the folded card base.

A long strip of Basic Black Cardstock approximately ¾" wide was cut with the long scallop border die from the Bordered in Beauty Dies. This die-cut edge was then adhered to the reverse of the long side of a rectangle of the hexagon pattern from the same DSP measuring 4¼" x 1⅝" to create a narrow scalloped border for the bottom edge, and trimmed to fit. This was then adhered to the centre of the card front.

A square of the chevron pattern from the same DSP measuring 2½" x 2½" was adhered centrally over the hexagon patterned layer. The sentiment, from the Phrases and Frames Photopolymer Stamp Set, was stamped on Basic White Cardstock using the Basic Black Hybrid Stampin' Pad™ and cut out using the 1¾" Circle Punch. The stamped circle was then added to the center of the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals™.

Using the stamp from the Extraordinary Life Photopolymer Stamp Set, three butterflies were stamped on Basic White Cardstock using black ink and cut out with the coordinating die from the Extraordinary Life Dies. Colour was added to the middle of each butterfly using Sponge Daubers with Lemon Lolly and Golden Glow Classic Stampin' Ink™. These were then added to the card front using Mini Glue Dots™. A simple foliage stem from the Floral Flight Accents was adhered to the card front, tucked under the sentiment circle. Flirty Flamingo gems from the Array of Dots were added as final embellishments.

And here's the project it inspired:

This project combines the Christmas tree imagery in the Pine Tree Trimmings Bundle with Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler to create a classic Christmas card design.

The fir tree image from the Pine Tree Trimmings Photopolymer Stamp Set was stamped twice in the centre of a Basic White layer (4" x 5¼") using Garden Green Classic Stampin' Ink™. The solid tree image from the same stamp set was stamped on Garden Green cardstock, again using Garden Green ink, and cut out using the coordinating die from the Pine Tree Trimmings Dies.

Using additional dies from the same set, a star and two garland elements were cut from Gold Foil Sheets, and adhered to the die-cut tree. The tree element was then added to the centre of the stamped Basic White panel using Stampin' Dimensionals™

The sentiment was stamped on a 3" x ⅝" strip of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock using VersaMark™ Ink, and embossed using white powder from the Basics WOW! Embossing Powder. The embossed strip was adhered across the top of the die-cut tree with Stampin' Dimensionals at each end.

White & Gold Baker's Twine was wrapped around the two opposite corners of the card panel, and tied in a bow at the top left corner. The completed panel was then added to a folded Cherry Cobbler card base. Iridescent Foiled Gems were added as the final embellishments.

Creative Inspiration with a Colour Combination

Here's this month's colour combination:

And here's the project it inspired:

The new Brushed with Beauty Suite Collection includes patterned paper featuring florals in muted tones, along with stamp and die bundles that feature both floral and foliage elements, and sentiments that can be the focal point of your designs.

A rectangle of the Very Vanilla floral pattern from the Brushed with Beauty 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper measuring 4¼" x 5½" was adhered to a folded Crumb Cake card base (with the fold at the top). The long sides of a smaller rectangle of the dotted patterned paper from the same DSP (measuring 4¼" x 2½"; approx. ½" taller than the final layer) were torn to expose the white core of the paper along those edges. This layer was then adhered to the centre of the card front.

The three 'because' dies from the Words of Beauty Dies were used to cut the three layers of the focal point sentiment, which were adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Adhesive Sheets could also be used). Vellum 12" x 12" Specialty Paper was used for the base layer, Crumb Cake Cardstock was used for the middle, and Petal Pink Cardstock die used for the top. The completed layered element was added to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals™.

The middle-sized label die from the Words of Beauty Dies was used to cut a label from Very Vanilla Cardstock. The 'You've Been on My Mind' stamp, from the coordinating Words of Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set, was stamped on the label using Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin' Ink™. Very Vanilla Baker's Twine, from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, was wrapped around the card front three times, and tied to the right side of the dotted DSP layer. The stamped label was added with Stampin' Dimensionals, over the knot securing the twine.

The Kintsugi Inspirations Suite Collection is inspired by the centuries-old technique of mending treasured objects with lacquer and gold. The gold foil accents and rich colour palette will add a touch of elegance to your projects.

Three rectangles of two different patterned papers from the Kintsugi Inspirations 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper measuring 3¾" x 1 9/16" were added to a Basic White Cardstock layer (measuring 5¼" x 4"). To ensure the DSP pieces were evenly spaced, the top and bottom rectangles were adhered to the backing cardstock first and then the central piece was added. This layer was added to a folded Misty Moonlight card base.

One Misty Moonlight vase and one Basic Beige bowl were cut from the DSP sheet using the corresponding Inspiring Imperfection Dies. These were added to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals™. The sentiment, from the Inspiring Imperfections Photopolymer Stamp Set, was stamped on Basic White Cardstock using Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin' Ink and cut out using the torn label die from the same die set. The sentiment was added to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. Gold Flower Accents, which are also part of the same suite collection, were added as embellishments.

The new Online Exclusive Floral Impressions Suite Collection features pretty florals as layered stamp images, textured die cuts, and paper patterns.

A layer of Fresh Freesia Cardstock was embossed using the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder, trimmed to measure 3¾" x 5", and adhered directly to a Fresh Freesia folded card base.

The large elongated oval die from the Impressions Abloom Dies was used to cut a solid oval from the floral pattern shown from the Floral Impressions 12" x 12" (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Designer Series Paper. This oval was adhered to the left-hand side of the card front, over the embossed panel, and the overhang trimmed.

The sentiment, from the Impressions Abloom Photopolymer Stamp Set, was stamped using Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin' Ink on a ¾" x 3½" strip of Basic White Cardstock. Using dies from the Impressions Abloom Dies, two textured flower elements were die cut from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock and one from Misty Moonlight Cardstock, and flower centres die cut from Fresh Freesia Cardstock. The centres were adhered to each flower, and then the three adhered to the left edge of the sentiment strip. The sentiment strip was then adhered to the card front, and the excess trimmed from the right-hand side. Two-Tone Sparkle Gems were added as embellishments.

This simple card layout is perfect to see some of our new In Color™ products together. The sentiment is from the Simply Said Photopolymer Stamp Set. One of the new Mix & Match products found in the Quick & Easy Options section of our new Annual Catalogue, this set contains designs that will be useful in many projects and not just combined with other products in the Mix & Match range.

The patterned papers shown in this card are from the 2024-2026 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper pack, using one sheet of one design in Pretty in Pink, and a second sheet of the other design in Summer Splash. The floral Pretty in Pink pattern was cut to measure 2⅜" x 3⅛", with the stripe pattern from the reverse side cut to 1⅛" x 3⅛". The dots Summer Splash pattern was cut to measure 2⅜" x 1⅝", with the pattern from the reverse side cut to 1⅛" x 1⅝". The pattern paper blocks adhered to a Petunia Pop Cardstock layer in the arrangement shown.

The "thanks" sentiment from the Simply Said Photopolymer Stamp Set, was stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento™ Ink on Basic White Cardstock. The stamped sentiment was die cut to create a label using the smallest rectangle die from the Nested Essentials Dies. Two small pieces of Natural ⅜" Polka Dot Trim were cut and adhered to the back of the stamped label using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The whole label element was added over the patterned paper layer with Stampin' dimensionals. The finished panel was adhered to a folded Basic White card base.

The Sending Love Bundle isn't just for Valentine's! The cute die-cut envelopes can be used all year round to send a message of love.

The floral patterned paper from the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper was cut (ensuring the pattern ran vertically) to make the first cardstock layer, and adhered to a Fresh Freesia folded card base. The sentiment, from the Sending Love Cling Stamp Set, was stamped on a Basic White Cardstock strip using Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin' Ink, and attached to the centre of the card using Stampin' dimensionals.

Using the die from the coordinating Sending Love Dies, two envelope elements were die cut from Bubble Bath Cardstock, and a third was cut from Fresh Freesia Cardstock. The envelopes were folded and assembled using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The solid single heart image from the Sending Love set was stamped in Fresh Freesia on the front of one of the Bubble Bath envelopes. That envelope, plus the Fresh Freesia envelope, were both adhered above the sentiment strip using liquid glue.

The hollow hearts image (from the same stamp set) was stamped in Fresh Freesia on a strip of Basic White Cardstock, and the strip trimmed to allow it to be inserted into the remaining Bubble Bath envelope. That envelope was adhered underneath the sentiment strip, using Stampin' dimensionals.
