Creative Inspiration with a Colour Combination

Here's this month's colour combination:

And here's the project it inspired:

The Gathering Together Suite Collection is one of the suites added to our Online Exclusives Collection this month. The scripted sentiments focus on gratitude, and they are accompanied by leaf and other forest imagery with coordinating dies.

A rectangle of the dark bark patterned paper from the Gathering Together 12" x 12" Designer Series paper measuring 3" x 4¼" was adhered to a layer of Crushed Curry Cardstock (measuring 3⅛" x 4⅜"). The 'Many Thanks' sentiment was stamped on Basic Beige Cardstock using Cajun Craze Classic Stampin' Ink™, and then cut out using a circle die from the Spotlight on Nature Dies (measuring approximately 2¾" in diameter). The die-cut circle was adhered towards the top of the DSP rectangle using Stampin' Dimensionals™.

The three leaf images from the Gathering Moments Cling Stamp Set were stamped on Basic Beige Cardstock using Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry ink, and die cut using the coordinating dies from the Gathering Moments Dies. These were then added at the base of the die-cut circle, using Mini Glue Dots™ and Stampin' Dimensionals.

The completed panel was adhered to a folded Early Espresso card base, and Loose Gold Sequins added as embellishments using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The Spooky Sweet Suite Collection features cute costumed animals, along with haunted house and other spooky images that are perfect for all your Halloween projects.

The tag element was carefully cut from the Spooky Sweet 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, and the long rectangle mini punch from the Hole Punch Assortment used to create a hole at the top of the tag. A length of Petunia Pop ¼" (6.4 mm) Iridescent Ribbon was threaded through the hole, and tied in a knot.

The sparkle image from the Spooky Halloween Photopolymer Stamp Set was stamped randomly over a folded Petunia Pop card base using Petunia Pop Classic Stampin' Ink™. Fence and haunted house elements were die cut from Basic Black Cardstock using the dies from the coordinating Spooky Halloween Dies. The fence die cut was adhered to the card front first, then the tag, and then the house element added on top.

The Frankenstein dog image, also from the Spooky Halloween set, was stamped on Basic White Cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento™ Ink. The image was coloured using Stampin' Blends™ (Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Pecan Pie, Petunia Pop, and Timid Tiger), and cut out using the coordinating die. The sentiment was also stamped on a 3½" x ½" strip of Basic White using Memento Ink, and separated into two rectangles.

The two-part sentiment and Halloween character were added to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals™. Black Shimmer Star Foam Stickers were added as the final embellishments.

The Floral Charm Suite Collection features detailed roses and foliage, and a rich colour palette combined with watercolour artistry.

The large floral arrangement was cut from Basic Beige Cardstock using the die from the Charming Day Dies. This was then adhered to a folded Basic Beige card base, with Stampin' Dimensionals™ used on to raise up the right side of the die cut on the card front.

A strip of the coral-toned rose patterned paper from the Floral Charm 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper measuring 1¾" x 5½" was added to the left-hand side of the card front, overlapping part of the die cut.

The larger floral image from the Charming Day Cling Stamp Set was stamped on Basic White Cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento™ Ink, and coloured using Cajun Craze, Calypso Coral, and Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends™. The coloured image was then die cut using the coordinating die from the Charming Day Dies, and added to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals to raise up the left-hand side.

The sentiment was stamped on a rectangle of Calypso Coral Cardstock measuring ¾" x 2¾" using VersaMark™ Ink, and embossed using white powder from the Basics WOW! Embossing Powders. The sentiment panel was added to the card front, overlapping the coloured floral element, using Stampin' Dimensionals. Petal Pink Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots were added as the final embellishments.

The Extraordinary Flora Bundle coordinates with the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape, and allows you to die cut the gorgeous floral design elements from the washi tape for a unique effect.

A rectangle of Basic White Cardstock measuring 2⅞" x 5¾" was embossed using the floral pattern from the Glass & Gardens Embossing Folders. It was then trimmed to measure 5½" in length, and adhered to a rectangle of Strawberry Slush Cardstock measuring 3" x 5½". This was added to the left-hand side of a folded Basic White card base, ⅜" from the left edge.

A section of the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape (featuring blooms in shades of Flirty Flamingo and Strawberry Slush) was adhered to Basic White Cardstock. The Extraordinary Flora Die was used to cut a full set of the floral elements. A selection of these floral pieces were added along the right-hand edge of the embossed cardstock panel, with some elements added directly to the card front and some raised up using Stampin' Dimensionals™.

The sentiment, from the Extraordinary Flora Photopolymer Stamp Set, was stamped on a ½" tall strip of Basic White Cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento™ Ink. A ⅝" tall strip of Strawberry Slush Cardstock was adhered behind the stamped strip, and both sides of the sentiment element trimmed at an angle. This was then added to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. Finally, Strawberry Slush Gems (from the Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink Gems) were added as embellishments.

And here's the project it inspired:

The Wildly Flowering Suite features hand-painted patterned papers in rich tones and sketched floral image stamps perfect for building your own floral scenes.

Images from the Wildflower Designs Cling Stamp Set were stamped randomly on a rectangle of Basic White Cardstock (3" x 4½"), using Early Espresso, Misty Moonlight, and Wild Wheat Classic Stampin' Inks. The stamped panel was adhered to a Misty Moonlight Cardstock mat.

The sentiment, from the same stamp set, was stamped on a strip of Basic White Cardstock (1" x 3½") using Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Ink. Perfect Pair Sketch Inspiration

And here's the project it inspired:

The Perfect Pairs Photopolymer Stamp Set features cute images of some of the best things that go together and is ideal for Valentine's cards.

The cookie image from the Perfect Pairs Photopolymer Stamp Set was stamped on Basic White Cardstock four times using Tuxedo Black Memento™ Ink. The images were each coloured with Stampin' Blends (Light and Dark Pecan Pie and colour 100 from the Deep Combo Pack). The milk carton image was stamped on Basic White Cardstock twice using the same black ink. The straw was coloured using Real Red Stampin' Blends, and the edges of the cartons highlighted with Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends. The cow image was stamped in black ink on one of the cartons. Two additional cows were stamped on Basic White Cardstock using black ink. All the stamped elements were cut out using paper Snips.

A rectangle of Basic White Cardstock was embossed using the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder and trimmed to size (3½" x 4¾"). The stamped elements were adhered directly to the embossed panel. The sentiment, from the same stamp set, was stamped on a Basic White Cardstock strip (¾" x 3½"). Both ends of a strip of Real Red Cardstock (½" x 4¼") were cut to form flags, and the strip adhered behind the stamped sentiment strip using Stampin' Dimensionals. The completed sentiment element was added to the bottom of the embossed layer.

The finished panel was added to a Balmy Blue Cardstock mat, and then adhered to a Crumb Cake folded card base.

Winter Meadow Colour Combination

Creative Inspiration with a Colour Combination

Here's this month's colour combination:

And here's the project it inspired:

The Winter Meadow 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper may have been overlooked in the Annual Catalogue, and it features some patterns perfect for Christmas crafting.

A 3½" x 5" portion of the forest pattern sheet from the Winter Meadow DSP was cut into long strips measuring ½", ¾", 1" and 1¼" wide. These were then adhered to a 3¾" x 4¼" piece of Lost Lagoon Cardstock. Starting with the first and last strips helped ensure that the spacing between all the strips was even.

The sentiment, from the Christmas Labels Photopolymer Stamp Set, was stamped on Basic White Cardstock using Moody Mauve Classic Stampin' Ink. The sentiment was then die cut using the coordinating die from the Christmas Labels Dies and Stampin' Dimensionals added to the back. Black twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack was threaded through the label die cut, wrapped around the Lost Lagoon square layer, and tied in a small bow to the left of the label. The label was then secured over the wrapped twine. The completed panel was added to a Pebbled Path folded card base.

This cute card uses products from the very appropriately named Otterly Adorable Suite Collection, one of the many new products available as part of November's Online Exclusive product release.

A rectangle of the brown-grey swirled pattern from the Otterly Adorable 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper was adhered to an Early Espresso folded card base. A 3" x 4¼" rectangle of the seaweed fronds pattern (with the fronds running vertically) was layered onto a Basic White Cardstock mat (3⅛" x 4⅜"), and added to the card front at an angle.

The sentiment, from the Otterly Amazing Photopolymer Stamp Set, was stamped to the left side of a 1½" wide Basic White Cardstock strip using Gray Granite Classic Stampin' Ink. The two otters were cut from the DSP sheet using the coordinating dies from the Otterly Amazing Dies. The larger otter was adhered to the right-hand side of the sentiment strip using Stampin' Dimensionals, and the smaller otter added to the left of that using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The completed sentiment strip was added to the bottom half of the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals and trimmed to fit.
