Creative Inspiration with a Colour Combination

Here's this month's colour combination:

And here's the project it inspired:

This card features two colours from our new In Color™ Collection, and the bright tones of Strawberry Slush and Timid Tiger are perfect for creating topical plumage for the birds in the Feathered Fun Photopolymer Stamp Set.

The twin bird line image from the Feathered Fun set was stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento™ Ink on Basic White Cardstock. The image was then coloured using Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends, and Strawberry Slush and Timid Tiger Stampin' Write Markers (Stampin' Blends could be substituted for a less solid effect). The image was carefully cut out using Paper Snips. The detailed leaf image was stamped multiple times on Basic White Cardstock using Lemon Lime Twist Ink, and the stamped images also carefully cut out.

The solid heart die measuring approximately 3¼" wide from the Hearts of Elegance Dies was used to cut a heart shape from Strawberry Slush Cardstock. This was adhered to a Basic White Cardstock rectangle measuring 3½" x 4¾". The bird element was added to the left-hand side of the heart using Stampin' Dimensionals, and the stamped leaves tucked underneath. The sentiment, from the Hearts of Elegance Photopolymer Stamp Set, was stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and the sentiment carefully cut out in two parts as shown using Paper Snips. The two parts of the sentiment were then adhered to the card panel using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The card panel was adhered to a 4⅞" x 3⅝" Timid Tiger Cardstock rectangle, and the layered panel added to a Lemon Lime Twist folded card base. Timid Tiger Flat Pearls, from the 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls, were added as embellishments.

Winter Meadow Colour Combination

Creative Inspiration with a Colour Combination

Here's this month's colour combination:

And here's the project it inspired:

The Winter Meadow 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper may have been overlooked in the Annual Catalogue, and it features some patterns perfect for Christmas crafting.

A 3½" x 5" portion of the forest pattern sheet from the Winter Meadow DSP was cut into long strips measuring ½", ¾", 1" and 1¼" wide. These were then adhered to a 3¾" x 4¼" piece of Lost Lagoon Cardstock. Starting with the first and last strips helped ensure that the spacing between all the strips was even.

The sentiment, from the Christmas Labels Photopolymer Stamp Set, was stamped on Basic White Cardstock using Moody Mauve Classic Stampin' Ink. The sentiment was then die cut using the coordinating die from the Christmas Labels Dies and Stampin' Dimensionals added to the back. Black twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack was threaded through the label die cut, wrapped around the Lost Lagoon square layer, and tied in a small bow to the left of the label. The label was then secured over the wrapped twine. The completed panel was added to a Pebbled Path folded card base.

Create a card perfect for a fellow crafter with the craft-themed images and dies found in the Crafting With You Bundle. The Take Your Pick Tool is invaluable for projects like this that need die cuts with small pieces to be assembled, or for adding die cut pieces as embellishments for your projects with precision.

A paper trimmer element was die cut from Pebbled Path Cardstock with the die from the Crafting With You Dies. The sentiment, from the coordinating Crafting With You Photopolymer Stamp Set, was stamped on a strip of Basic White Cardstock using Pebbled Path Classic Stampin' Ink. The stamped strip was adhered to the paper trimmer die cut, and the blade die cut piece adhered to complete the trimmer cutting track. The scissor die was cut twice, once from Smoky Slate Cardstock and once from Basic Black Cardstock. The scissor handles were removed from the black die cuts and adhered over the top of the Smoky Slate pieces. The two shears were combined and the circle representing the connecting tension screw added to create the finished scissor element, which was adhered to the bottom left corner of the sentiment strip. The whole trimmer element was adhered to a Basic White Cardstock layer using Stampin' dimensionals.

The small heart and star double dies in the Crafting With You Dies were used to create die cut shapes from Lost Lagoon and Bubble Bath Cardstock. These were adhered randomly to the Basic White layer. Narrow strips of Bubble Bath Cardstock were added behind the Basic White layer at the top and bottom, and the finished panel adhered to a Lost Lagoon folded card base.

What's better for celebrating spooky season than pumpkins? These cheerful yet creepy gourds are bound to make you smile!

To create the background, the Sketched Plaid Cling Stamp Set was stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Berry Burst Cardstock. After stamping the background, the layer was trimmed so as to fit on a standard-sized Berry Burst card front.

Two large and three small pumpkins from the Pick of the Patch Photopolymer Stamp Set (the two pumpkin images that match with the coordinating Pick of the Patch Builder Punch) were stamped on Basic White Cardstock using Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink and punched out using the builder punch. The creepy pumpkin face image was stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on one of the large and two of the small pumpkin shapes. 5 stalks were stamped on Basic White Cardstock using Pebbled Path Classic Ink, and 2 leaves were also stamped on Basic White using Shaded Spruce Classic Ink. These elements were also punched out using the builder punch. The pumpkin, stalk, and leaf elements were arranged in the bottom right corner of the stamped Berry Burst layer, with the two top-most small pumpkin elements being adhered using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The "Happy Halloween" sentiment was stamped in Shaded Spruce on a Basic White Cardstock strip. A thin strip of Shaded Spruce Cardstock was adhered to the bottom of the Basic White strip, and the left-hand edge cut at an angle with Paper Snips. Black Baker's Twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack was looped around the stamped sentiment strip and tied in a small bow. The sentiment element was adhered to the top right corner of the stamped Berry Burst layer using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The whole Berry Burst card layer was added to a Berry Burst folded card base, again using Stampin' Dimensionals.

This floral card makes the most of the bright colours and geometric shapes that are part of the Inked Botanicals Suite.

The floral stem image in the Inked & Tiled Cling Stamp Set was stamped on Basic White Cardstock using Lost Lagoon and Calypso Coral Classic Ink. This was layered on to Crushed Curry Cardstock, and then adhered to a Calypso Coral card base. The sentiment, from the same stamp set, was stamped in Calypso Coral on Basic White Cardstock, and cut out using the star-shaped punch from the coordinating Inked & Tiled Punch Pack. This punched element was adhered to an offset star shape cut from Lost Lagoon Cardstock, and then added to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots were added around the stamped floral element.

To create the geometric pattern strip, star and cross elements were punched from Lost Lagoon Cardstock using both of the punches in the coordinating punch pack. The shapes were adhered to the card front to form a row, alternating between the two shapes and leaving a small space in between each element. The overhanging shapes at each side were trimmed to match up with the card front edges. Two additional punched star shapes were carefully scored and folded in half and adhered on top of the central star using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, their central fold lines matching in the middle of the base shape. This was repeated with the cross shapes on either side to complete the 3D geometric pattern.

Daisies are perfect for a bright and cheerful spring birthday card, and the new Cheerful Daisies Photopolymer Stamp Set and coordinating Cheerful Daisies Dies allow you to create projects with both lovely floral elements and elegant sentiments.

The daisy was cut from Basic White Cardstock using the large solid die from the Cheerful Daisies Dies. The largest floral element was carefully separated from the rest of the arrangement using Paper Snips. The same die was used to cut two additional pieces from Garden Green Cardstock, and this time the leaf elements were isolated. Crushed Curry ink was added to the centre of the daisy element using a Sponge Dauber, and the green leaf elements adhered behind the daisy petals using Multipurpose Glue.

The stitched tag was cut from Crumb Cake Cardstock using the largest die from the Tailor Made Tags Dies, and a Basic White tab cut and added to the top of the tag. The daisy element was adhered to the top portion of the tag, and a Crumb Cake Twine loop (from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack) was threaded through the tag hole.

The Basic White stitched label was cut using the die from the Cheerful Daisies Dies, and the sentiment stamped using Garden Green Classic Ink. The Lost Lagoon strip was added to a standard Basic White Cardstock base, and the tag and label elements adhered to the top using Stampin' Dimensionals. Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots were added as the final embellishments.
