Snowflake Splendor

The August–December 2020 Mini Catalogue Inspiration

SNOWFLAKE SPLENDOR SUITE

You may want to grab a cup of cocoa and a cozy sweater before you sit down to create with the Snowflake Splendor Suite! This stamp and die bundle will help you create a blizzard of snowflakes for the perfect storm of winter crafting.

The Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper complements the stamps and dies with hand-painted, watercolor snowflakes in lots of icy purples and blues.

The tutorial I'm sharing changes up the colours and design for a bit of rustic glamour and a little tweak to the standard card size.

Plaid Tidings

The August–December 2020 Mini Catalogue Inspiration

PLAID TIDINGS SUITE

I'm often asked about the best all around stamp set or which stamp set a new stamper should start with. You know I love stamps, so I'd never say that there is one stamp set that covers all the bases, but the new August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue does have a stamp set is about as close as it gets. I think you'll love the Celebrations Tidings stamp set that is part of the Plaid Tidings Suite.

If you are new to stamping, the Celebration Tidings stamp set is a great place to start since it has greetings and images that span the holidays and occasions from Autumn through to Valentine's Day.

If you are an avid stamper, like me, you won't want to overlook this gem. Add on the coordinating Celebration Labels Dies and Plaid Tidings 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper and they'll bring you tidings of joyful creativity. Heat embossing and colouring techniques are ideal for this suite!

The tutorial I'm sharing features an interchangeable, multi-season, decor frame. This frame would make an amazing gift. Who do you know that would love to display this in their home? I can think of a bunch of people on my gift list!

This month's Colour Inspiration was inspired by the Gilded Autumn Suite. I think you'll like this modern twist on the traditional fall colours. I love seeing your creations, so be sure to share them with me!

COLOUR INSPIRATION

Mint Macaron
Cajun Craze
Early Espresso

Orange, brown, and mustard yellows have long been the traditional colours of Autumn. This month I'm sharing a fresh twist on the Autumn look with a muted, but still rich Colour Inspiration. Cajun Craze is a bold twist on the traditional orange while Mint Macaron offers a cool hint at the winter colours to come later in the season.

I think you'll enjoy this beautiful colour combination and can't wait to see what you create!

The first card features a clean and simple look with no stamping. The metallic leaf and acorn images are punched from the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper (#153520) with the Autumn Punch Pack (#153609) trio of punches. The Mint Macaron ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (#153553) and Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder (#152320) add the perfect touch of texture.

The second card features the beautiful floral images from the Jar of Flowers stamp set (#152515). The image is colored in using ink pads and Blender Pens (#102845) for a natural watercolor effect. A plethora of texture from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (#153553), Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder (#149643), Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder (#152320), and Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder (#153200) finish this lovely card.
