Creative Inspiration with a Sketch

Here's this month's sketch:

And here's the project it inspired:

Stylized stamped trees and a simple snowy patterned paper background are combined to create this easy Christmas card.

The solid tree image from the Merriest Trees Photopolymer Stamp Set was stamped on Basic White Cardstock using Shaded Spruce Classic Stampin' Ink, and cut using the second largest tree die from the coordinating Merriest Trees Dies. The textured tree image from the same stamp set was stamped on Old Olive Cardstock, again using Shaded Spruce ink, and cut using the third largest tree die.

The sentiment was stamped on a strip of Basic White Cardstock using Shaded Spruce ink, and one end cut to a banner shape using the small square die from the Merriest Trees Dies. A narrow strip of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock was adhered to the bottom of the stamped Basic White strip and trimmed to match the angled end.

A panel of the Balmy Blue snow-patterned paper from the A Walk in the Forest 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper was adhered to a Cherry Cobbler folded card base. The Shaded Spruce solid tree die cut was adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, and the Old Olive tree die cut and sentiment strip were added using Stampin' Dimensionals.
