Creative Inspiration with a Color Combination

Here's this month's colour combination:

And here's the project it inspired:

This easy fancy fold card uses "stamping off" to create multiple shades of blues and greens to complete the floral design.

The card base was cut from Balmy Blue Cardstock, and half of the front panel removed. A patterned paper strip was added to the remaining section of the front panel, cut from the Balmy Blue floral design from the Regency Park 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.

The leaf outline image from the Petal Park Stamp Set was stamped on Basic White Cardstock in Shaded Spruce. The leaf filler image was also stamped over the top in Shaded Spruce, but after being "stamped off" on grid paper to create a lighter shade. The image was cut out using the largest 3" circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. The floral outline image from the same stamp set was stamped on Basic White Cardstock in Night of Navy, and the floral filler image stamped over the top with Night of Navy (again, stamped off first). Additional leaves were stamped on more Basic White, and the flower and extra leaf images cut out using the coordinating Petal Park Builder Punch. The punched elements were layered on to the die-cut stamped circle using Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhesive-backed Milky Dots in Night of Navy were added as the flower centres. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment, from the Sentimental Park Stamp Set, was stamped in Night of Navy.

The circle focal element was attached to the front panel of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals, and a tied ribbon bow made from the Night of Navy ⅜" Bordered Ribbon added to the top left corner with a glue dot. A patterned paper panel cut from the Night of Navy sketched grid design from the Regency Park DSP was added to the inside of the card, with an additional 3" stitched circle in Basic White lined up behind the circle on the front of the card to provide a space to write a message.
